How Nuri works
Two journeys that meet in the middle: a family asking for help, and a Pro who can do the work. What follows is the whole shape of it.
Asking for help
From “my mother needs someone” to a booked visit.

You say what you came for
Help for yourself or someone you look after, and which of the four kinds of help it is. Nuri never asks you to pick a job title. Say “medication help” and Nuri knows that a Nursing Pro or a Care Pro can do it.

Nuri fills in what it can already tell
Country, area, currency. Where Nuri is not certain it shows you what it guessed and lets you correct it, rather than assuming quietly. An inference it is unsure about is never used as if it were a fact.

Your account is created out of what you have said
First name and mobile number, at the end rather than the start. No address, no date of birth, no photograph, no card, no medical history. Each of those is asked at the moment it is genuinely needed.

A Pro is matched and you choose
People approved for that work who cover that area. Their profile shows what they are approved to do and what other families have said about the work.

The booking is made and the money is held
Nuri holds the payment rather than passing it straight through. Neither side is exposed while the work is still ahead of them.

The visit happens and the Pro hands it in
The Pro records the work on their phone, on site, including on a connection that drops. It arrives as a record of what was done.

The payment is released
After the work is handed in. You can rate it, and what you say becomes part of how that Pro is seen by the next family.

Where you can work, and roughly when
Weekdays, weekends, evenings, flexible. Not a calendar.
Your account is created
First name, last name and a mobile number. A Pro gives a full name because a Pro is about to be introduced to strangers as someone to trust.
Verification begins, and it is a separate thing
Identity, profile, qualifications where the work requires them, background checks where they apply, payout details, and any training the service needs. Creating an account starts none of this automatically and finishes none of it.
A person at Nuri approves you
Not a score, not a threshold, not an algorithm. Someone decides, and their decision is recorded.
Work reaches you
Requests you can accept or decline. What you accept becomes your schedule.

Rules that hold across the whole product.
Nobody learns our vocabulary
Nuri has internal words for the roles people hold. Nowhere does the product ask you to understand them first. You answer questions about your own life and Nuri works out the rest.
Nothing is automated where it matters most
Money, safety, someone’s livelihood, someone’s identity. Those decisions are made by people. Software can propose; it cannot execute.
Every decision comes with a reason
Why a Pro was suggested, why something was flagged, what it was based on and how sure it is. A recommendation you cannot interrogate is a defect.
A suggestion is shown as a suggestion
Anything Nuri inferred stays marked as inferred until a person confirms it. It never quietly hardens into a fact.
Empty means empty
Nuri never fills your account with invented families, visits or balances to make it look busy. What you see is either yours, or clearly marked as an example.
Written for a bad connection
Work done offline is queued and sent later, and is never shown as complete before it is. Nuri is built for the phone and the signal people actually have.
